These air fryer Brussels sprouts are perfectly cooked—tender inside and crispy outside. To make them even more delicious and crispy, I tossed them in olive oil, a flavorful seasoning mix, and a touch of cornstarch.
Wash whole Brussels sprouts and dry them with paper towels well. Trim the ends and remove outer leaves.
Cut Brussels sprouts in half and add them to the bowl. Add there 2 tablespoons olive oil, 1 tablespoon cornstarch , ½ teaspoon salt, ½ teaspoon smoked paprika, , ½ teaspoon garlic powder, ¼ teaspoon onion powder, ¼ teaspoon black pepper. Toss well so each half is well coated.
Preheat air fryer for 5 minutes to 390°F. Arrange seasoned Brussels sprouts in air fryer basket in a single layer. Air fry them for 12 minutes, tossing and shaking them every 3 minutes. The Brussels sprouts are cooked when tender in the inside and crispy on the outside. If you like them well browned, cook them for 3 minutes longer.
Let Brussels sprouts cool down for a few minutes and enjoy them with you favorite main dish.
Notes
Instead of cornstarch you can use arrowroot powder. You cooking time may be different depending on the size of the Brussels sprouts and the air fryer model. If you see any lose burnt leaves during the cooking process, remove them from the basket.
