These air fryer buffalo wings come out crispy and packed with flavor. Toss them in buffalo sauce for a classing finish, or serve the sauce on the side for dipping to keep them extra crispy.
2pounds chicken wings, cut into wingettes and drummettes
2tablespoonsolive oil
¼teaspoonsaltif using the sauce
1teaspoonpaprika
½teaspoongarlic powder
¼teaspoonblack pepper
Buffalo Sauce Ingredients
¼cupcayenne pepper hot sauce, such a Frank's original red hot.
2Tablespoonsbutter, melted
2Tablespoonshoney or other sweetener
¼teaspoonWorcestershire sauce
½teaspoonPaprika
¼teaspoongarlic powder
Instructions
In a large bowl, add pat dried chicken wings, 2 tablespoon olive oil, ¼ teaspoon salt, 1 teaspoon paprika, ½ teaspoon garlic powder, and ¼ teaspoon black pepper. Using a spatula, gently toss the wings until they are well coated in oil and seasoning.
Preheat air fryer for about 5 minutes. Arrange the wings in a single layer in the basket, without overcrowding them. Cook them in batches if needed.
Air fry the wings at 400°F for 10 minutes. Carefully, flip the wings and cook them for another 7-10 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F.
Once cooked, toss the wings in a buffalo sauce and serve.
Buffalo Sauce
To make the buffalo wings sauce, stir together ¼ cup cayenne pepper hot sauce, 2 tablespoon melted butter, 2 tablespoon honey, ¼ teaspoon Worcestershire sauce, ½ teaspoon Paprika, ¼ teaspoon garlic powder.
Notes
Your cooking times can be different, depending on the size of the wings and the air fryer type.I used Ninja XL air fryer and was able to cook 1 pound of wings at a time.You can use other homemade or store-bought sauces, such as honey BBQ, BBQ, teriyaki or even dry rub (add before cooking the wings).
