Air Fryer Buffalo Wings (Easy And Crispy)

Nataliia
These air fryer buffalo wings come out crispy and packed with flavor. Toss them in buffalo sauce for a classing finish, or serve the sauce on the side for dipping to keep them extra crispy.

Equipment

  • 2 large bowls
  • 1 medium bowl
  • 1 Air fryer

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds chicken wings, cut into wingettes and drummettes
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • ¼ teaspoon salt if using the sauce
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper

Buffalo Sauce Ingredients

  • ¼ cup cayenne pepper hot sauce, such a Frank's original red hot.
  • 2 Tablespoons butter, melted
  • 2 Tablespoons honey or other sweetener
  • ¼ teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • ½ teaspoon Paprika
  • ¼ teaspoon garlic powder

Instructions

  • In a large bowl, add pat dried chicken wings, 2 tablespoon olive oil, ¼ teaspoon salt, 1 teaspoon paprika, ½ teaspoon garlic powder, and ¼ teaspoon black pepper. Using a spatula, gently toss the wings until they are well coated in oil and seasoning.
  • Preheat air fryer for about 5 minutes. Arrange the wings in a single layer in the basket, without overcrowding them. Cook them in batches if needed.
  • Air fry the wings at 400°F for 10 minutes. Carefully, flip the wings and cook them for another 7-10 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F.
  • Once cooked, toss the wings in a buffalo sauce and serve.

Buffalo Sauce

  • To make the buffalo wings sauce, stir together ¼ cup cayenne pepper hot sauce, 2 tablespoon melted butter, 2 tablespoon honey, ¼ teaspoon Worcestershire sauce, ½ teaspoon Paprika, ¼ teaspoon garlic powder.

Notes

Your cooking times can be different, depending on the size of the wings and the air fryer type.
I used Ninja XL air fryer and was able to cook 1 pound of wings at a time.
You can use other homemade or store-bought sauces, such as honey BBQ, BBQ, teriyaki or even dry rub (add before cooking the wings).
