Equipment

  • 1 large bowl
  • 1 Air fryer

Ingredients

  • 2 cups frozen cut okra , or whole frozen okra
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon corn starch , optional
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon sweet paprika
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ¼ teaspoon onion powder
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  • Preheat air fryer to 400°F for about 5 minutes. In a large bowl add 2 cups frozen cut okra, 2 tablespoons olive oil, 1 teaspoon corn starch, ¼ teaspoon salt, ½ teaspoon sweet paprika , ½ teaspoon garlic powder , ¼ teaspoon onion powder , ¼ teaspoon black pepper. Toss well to coat each piece.
  • Arrange seasoned okra in air fryer basket in a single layer. Cook in bathes if needed.
  • Air fry for 12-15 minutes, shaking the basket 2-3 times throughout the cooking time. The okra is ready when browned on the outside and tender inside.

Notes

You can skip corn starch, but it usually helps to eliminate the slimy texture and makes okra crispier.
Air fryer cooking times may vary; check the okra for doneness and crispiness.
If you air fry frozen whole okra pieces, cook them for 5 minutes longer.
