It takes just 5-15 minutes to cook frozen shrimp in air fryer without thawing. Along with the step-by-step recipe directions, I have included estimated cooking times for both raw and cooked frozen shrimp, tailored to different sizes for your convenience.
1pound raw frozen shrimp, peeled, with added salt (see notes below*)
2tablespoonsolive oil
½teaspoonpaprika
¼teaspoongarlic powder
¼teaspoonblack pepper
1lemon or lime, optional
Instructions
Preheat air fryer for about 5 minutes at 400°F.
In a large bowl, add frozen shrimp. Drizzle them with olive oil and sprinkle with the seasonings (see notes below*). I also like to add a squeeze of lime or lemon juice.
Arrange the shrimp in the preheated air fryer basket in a single layer. Air fry for about 8-10 minutes, shaking the basket every 3 minutes for even cooking.
Insert a meat thermometer in one of the largest shrimp. If it reads 145°F, the shrimp are ready. If not, cook for another minute and check again until they reach the correct temperature.
