These oven-baked chicken tenders are juicy, flavorful, and ready in just 30 minutes. Each piece is perfectly coated with a homemade seasoning mix and a drizzle of extra virgin olive oil to ensure they don't dry out in the oven. The best part? No breading required!
Pat dry chicken breast tenders with paper towels to remove any excess moisture.
Preheat your oven to 400°F. Line baking pan with parchment paper.
In a medium bowl, add chicken tenders and 1 tablespoon olive oil. Toss to coat the chicken.
In a small bowl, combine 1 teaspoon paprika, 1 teaspoon brown sugar, ½ teaspoon salt, ½ teaspoon garlic powder, ½ teaspoon onion powder, ½ teaspoon dried oregano, ¼ teaspoon cumin, ¼ teaspoon chipotle powder, ¼ teaspoon black pepper.
Sprinkle the seasoning mix over the chicken. Rub chicken tenders well using your hands so the seasoning coats the meat evenly.
Arrange seasoned chicken tenders on a prepared baking pan, leaving some space between each piece.
Bake chicken tenders for about 15-20 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F. Remove cooked chicken from the oven and let them rest for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
*Chipotle powder adds a little spiciness and smokiness. You can easily skip it, if you want chicken to be mild. For extra spicy chicken tenders, add about ¼ teaspoons of cayenne pepper.Instead of olive oil, you can use about 1 tablespoon of melted butter instead. You can use regular sugar instead of brown sugar, or you can skip it.Feel free to omit some of the spices and use what you have in your pantry.
