Air fryer radishes have quickly become my new, unexpected favorite vegetable to roast. Just slice raw red radishes, toss them in oil, and seasonings, and air fry for about 10-14 minutes or until until they’re as crispy as you like.

Growing up in Ukraine, red radishes were a staple on our table every summer— crisp, peppery, and perfect with just a sprinkle of salt. I can eat them raw all day. But my family? Not so much. So I started roasting them in my air fryer. Now, they are finally a hit. Air-fried radishes come out nicely caramelized, slightly sweet and that peppery taste is barely noticeable. This recipe is a great way to use up your radishes before they go bad, which happens quickly.
How to make perfect radishes in the air fryer
This post includes recipe step-by-step instructions with images, tips, serving ideas, and more.
Ingredients notes
See the recipe card below for the complete list of ingredients and amounts.
- Radishes: I usually stick with red radishes, because that’s what I grew up with in Ukraine. They are also easy to find in the US.
- Oil: I used avocado oil. You can use olive oil or any vegetable oil.
- Seasonings: I used salt, black pepper, and garlic powder.
- Herbs: I used Italian dried herbs.
- Optional toppings: I love drizzling them with honey and some crumbled feta cheese.

How to cut radishes
- Trim and wash radishes.
- Pat them dry with the paper towels so they crisp up better.
- Slice into ½-inch rounds for even cooking and a nice bite.
Note: You can also halve or quarter the radishes if you prefer chunkier pieces. Just keep in mind, that they may need a few extra minutes in the air fryer.

Air frying radishes
- In a large bowl, add sliced radishes. Sprinkle them with salt, seasonings, and herbs. Drizzle with oil and toss.

- Add radishes to the air fryer basket, making sure they are in a single layer and the basket is not overcrowded.
- Air fry at 400°F for about 10-14 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through the cooking time.

Recipe tips
- Pat them dry after washing for crispier results.
- Slice the radishes the same size for even cooking.
- Do not overcrowd the air fryer basket.
- You can air fry them longer if you like them crispy without much of a radish bite.
Serving ideas
Once cooked, they are ready to serve with any main dish. But I love to make them fancier by drizzling some honey on top and crumbled feta cheese. Honey and feta add more flavor and an interesting taste. Sometimes, I will also add red pepper flakes.
We love roasted radishes with chicken, meatloaf, or salmon. They are really a great substitute for roasted potatoes.
More ways to customize them:
- You can toss them in basil pesto after cooking.
- Add a squeeze of lemon and fresh herbs for serving.
- Drizzle them with aioli or mint yogurt sauce.

How to store
You can store roasted radishes for up to 3 days in an airtight container in the fridge. You can reheat them in the microwave or air fryer.
The next day, I love adding them to my avocado toast, salad, or bowl.
