I love making these steak bites for my husband, who often comes home from work late and isn't a fan of reheated food.
And he loves fried food, but using the stove to make it always gets messy and smoky. That's why the air fryer always saves the day.
I like to rotate between beef bites, teriyaki salmon bites and air fryer chicken bites, to keep the meals versatile.
It's such a convenient way to have dinner ready in no time. The steak bites come out perfectly charred and tender without the need to stand at the stove. Plus, my stove remains clean and my home is not smoky after using the air fryer, which is very important for me when cooking late at night.
The air fryer cooks the steak bites in as little as 4 minutes if you like them medium rare, and about 10 minutes for well done.

Ingredients needed
For the full list of the ingredients and the amount, please see the recipe card bottom of the post.
- Steak: I used ribeye steak this time. You can use any type of steak you have on hand, even filet Mignon (but we like this one whole).
- Worcestershire sauce: just a little bit of the sauce to enhance the taste of the steak bites.
- Olive oil: I used extra virgin olive oil. You can also use avocado oil instead.
- Seasonings: I used salt, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper.
How to air fry steak tips
It is even easier to make this recipe by following these easy step-by-step instructions with accompanied images.
- 1. Cut the steak into bite-size pieces: cut the steak into 1-inch pieces, making them the approximately same size. If there is too much fat present, trim it and discard it.
- 2. Season and marinade the steak. Add steak pieces to a large bowl. Now, add olive oil, Worcestershire sauce, salt, garlic powder, onion powder and black pepper. Toss until well coated. Let the steak marinade for about 15-30 minutes at room temperature.
- 3. Arrange seasoned steak bites in the air fryer basket, leaving some space between each piece and they should be in a single layer.
- 4. Air fry steak tips for 4-10 minutes. Air fry them at 400 degrees f for about 4-10 minutes depending on the desired level of doneness. There is no need to flip them, but I recommend giving them a quick shake halfway through the cooking time.
Use the meat thermometer to ensure the internal temperature reaches at least 155° for well done, 145-155°F for medium well, 135-145°F for medium,130-135°F for medium rare, 120-130°F for rare.
Suggested cooking times: 4-5 minutes - rare, 5-6 minutes - medium rare, 6-7 minutes - medium, 7-8 minutes - medium well, 9-10 minutes - well done.

Serving ideas
I usually serve steak bites as the main dish with our favorite sides, such as air fryer baked sweet potatoes, air fryer zucchini fries, roasted potatoes and green beans, air fryer baked russet potatoes, or buckwheat kasha.
You can also complement the meal with crispy garlic bread, soft dinner rolls, or a hearty baguette.
For a lighter meal, I enjoy steak bites with a fresh salad, such as Caesar salad, Greek salad, or arugula beet salad.
